MARCHETTI PACKAGING Srl has adopted company Procedures and Policy in line with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR” - Regulation (EU) 2016/679), in order to ensure high security standards and rules to allow for correct processing of Personal Data.
The GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a European Union regulation and is the most significant data protection initiative of the last 20 years.
The purpose is to protect "natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data", e.g. the user of a website.
Cookies are mentioned only once in the Regulation’s 88 pages. However, those few lines have a significant impact on cookie compliance:
(Considering point 30 in the Regulation, referring to article 4, paragraph 1):
“Natural persons may be associated with online identifiers [...] such as internet protocol addresses, cookie identifiers or other identifiers [...]. This may leave traces which, in particular when combined with unique identifiers and other information received by the servers, may be used to create profiles of the natural persons and identify them.”
MARCHETTI PACKAGING Srl (Data controller) uses technologies on the following web pages that make use of "cookies", and this notice aims to explain to the user in a clear and simple manner how they are used.
Cookies are small text files (letters and/or numbers) that allow a web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after a few days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device being used (computer, tablet, smartphone). Similar technologies can be used to collect information about user behaviour and the use of services. In the remainder of this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies by simply using the term "cookies".
Visit AboutCookies.org for more information on cookies and how they affect your navigation experience.
Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can classify them as follows:
Strictly necessary cookies (category), First-party (type), with the following purpose:
Cookies which are essential for the proper functioning of the website (“First-party” cookies) are used to manage the login and access to the site's restricted functions. The duration of cookies is strictly limited to the work session (when the browser is closed, they are deleted). Blocking them compromises the use of any services which are accessible through the login. To block or disable cookies, see the paragraph below "How to disable cookies in your browser". The public part of the website remains fully functional.
Analytics and performance cookies (category), Third-party (type), with the following purpose:
Cookies used to collect and analyse anonymous information on traffic and use of the site. Although these cookies do not identify the user, they allow us, for example, to detect whether the same user logs on at different times. They also make it possible to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. These cookies can be blocked without any loss of functionality.
Profiling cookies (category), Third-party (type), with the following purpose:
These are persistent cookies used to identify (anonymously and otherwise) your preferences and improve your browsing experience.
MARCHETTI PACKAGING Srl does not use these types of cookies on its website.
Third-party cookies
When you visit a particular website you may receive cookies from both the site you visit (owners of the website or “first party"), and sites operated by other organisations ("third parties"). The handling of information collected by "third parties" is governed by their own policies, which you should refer to. For the sake of transparency and convenience, please find below the web addresses of the different policy notices and methods for managing cookies.
This site does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) Google analytics to track or collect personally identifiable information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google or attempt to link an IP address with a user's identity.
Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
In accordance with the Privacy Shield certification, Google declares that it complies with the provisions of the EU-US Privacy Shield.
